ExtendInsights Data Management | It is recommended that the Cache and Cookie settings be updated as described in this article

Updated over 3 months ago

For most users with a modern OS and Office 365 subscription this article is not relevant and may be ignored. ExtenInsights add-ins are Microsoft web apps. Microsoft (not ExtendInsights) determines which browser is used to render your web app inside of the application you are using.

For most users on an updated Windows 10 machine with a Microsoft 365 subscription Microsoft will select Edge (Chromium) as the browser to render the add-in. This is regardless of your default browser. If you're unsure which browser your add-in is being rendered in see this article.

πŸ›‘ If the browser is Edge (ie updated Windows with a Microsoft 365 subscription) there is no further action required.

If the browser is Internet Explorer 11 and you are having issues with the add-in continue reading below.

Allow ExtendInsights App

Open Internet Explorer 11 and select the gear icon at the top right and then select Internet Options.

Click on the Privacy tab, then sites, and enter https://smartclient.io and click Allow.

Allow third party cookies

Open Internet Explorer 11 and select the gear icon at the top right and then select Internet Options.

Step 1: Select the Privacy tab

Step 2: Select Advanced

Step 3: Ensure that you accept first and third party cookies and always allow session cookies
