Getting Started: Switch to ExtendSync Outlook New App
Getting Started: Switch to ExtendSync Outlook New App

ExtendSync Outlook | Login to new app

Updated over a week ago

Effective August 6, 2024, the legacy app has been deprecated and the new app is the default app. It is no longer necessary to "switch" to the new App.

Prerequisites to using the new version of ExtendSync Outlook for NetSuite are below:

  • Have an active or trial subscription to User, Starter, or Enterprise Edition

    • As of August 6, 2024, the free version is no longer supported.

  • The CloudExtend SuiteApp must be installed by the NetSuite admin

  • Microsoft Grant should be enabled by your Microsoft admin

  • πŸ’‘ If users have different email addresses for NetSuite and Microsoft, the admin must update the email in the CloudExtend subscription portal by replacing the NetSuite email address with the Microsoft 365 email address. Users will then use the "Connections" option in the new app to connect CloudExtend to NetSuite.

More information on the above admin steps can be found below.

How to Login

Step 1: Get ready with the following information and log in to the New App.

Step 2: Select Login to New App.

For full instructions on how to install and log in. See the link here!

You will be prompted to log in with your Microsoft.

With the new app, your login identity is now tied to Microsoft rather than your NetSuite account. This means that you no longer have to sign out and sign in again when you need to switch to a different NetSuite role or company. The NetSuite connection is established once you log in and it can be switched easily without having to sign out by selecting the menu and choosing Connections.

πŸ’‘ Note:

Once you login with your Microsoft account, you won't be asked to login again unless you clear cache or you are trying to load the app in a different browser. Please make sure you login with same ID in all environments as your license is only tied to one ID, not both.

Step 3: Enter your NetSuite Account ID.

NetSuite Account Number
In order to use the login flow, you will need your NetSuite Account Number. This can be located in the URL while you are logged into NetSuite in a browser. Learn how to find your NetSuite account ID here.

Step 4: Enter your NetSuite credentials. Select the role you want to log in with and hit Allow.

πŸ’‘ Note: You will also be required to enter your NetSuite username and password. If you received an error here, it generally means your account does not have proper permissions. Ask your Admin to review the prerequisites here in our help center.

Each connection type will have a different color scheme when you are logged in.

Adding/Switching NetSuite Connections

If you have a sandbox and production NetSuite environment or have different roles in NetSuite, You can easily add a connection and switch between roles or NetSuite environments without logging off.

Step 1: Go to Menu and select Connection.

Step 2: Click Add then enter your NetSuite account ID and click Connect to NetSuite.

Learn how to find your NetSuite account ID here.

Step 3: Enter your NetSuite credentials. Select the role you want to log in with and hit Allow.

Step 4: Click Yes. Now, you have a new connection in CloudExtend.

Remove NetSuite Connections

Remove NetSuite connections that you no longer need. To do that, do the following:

Step 1: Go to Menu and select Connection.

Step 2: Select the connection name and click the three dots. Click Delete to disconnect.
