How to Create Transfer Order via CloudExtend Data Management for NetSuite

Transfer orders enable you to track items in transit between two locations. As a standard inventory management procedure, you may need to request to transfer materials into the warehouse from one location to another.

In this video, we are going to show you how to manage Transfer Order via Excel using CloudExtend Excel Data Management for NetSuite.


Template Layout

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: It is best to check out the forms and fields and identify the header, column, and required fields in NetSuite that you may need in building the template.

If you are using NetSuite Classic Interface, you can go to:

Transactions>Inventory>Enter Transfer Orders

  • Transaction ID

  • Order Status

  • Subsidiary

  • Location

  • Transfer Location

  • Item List: Item

  • Item List: Quantity


Creating Transfer Orders

Step 1: Populate location and then put value to where the goods will be transferred on the Transfer Location field.

Step 2: Add the items and add the quantity associated with the items.

Step 3: Click Update and upsert the records to NetSuite and it will generate a new Transfer Order. It will generate the internal ID for the record successfully pushed to NetSuite.


How to Check New Transfer Order in NetSuite

Tran ID is automatically populated in NetSuite. Even if you did not put any data. NetSuite will generate Tran ID in NetSuite.

We have added the Tran ID field in the template, you can use that to easily search your newly created record in NetSuite.

Step 1: After a record has been created, click Refresh then refresh the value of the data in the table. It will give an automatically generated Tran ID. Copy the Tran ID value.

Step 2: In NetSuite, go to the search box and paste or type the Tran ID.
