Error: I have access to all fields on the record but still getting an error

ExtendInsights Data Management | Resolving read-only, the associated feature is disabled, field available when updating records

Updated over 5 months ago

If you are receiving an error such as the one below it is usually because they are not displayed on the default form for your role. Resolve the issue by adding the custom form to your template. Details are below.

Error

You do not have permissions to set a value for the element <field name> due to the following reason: 1)The fields are read-only 2) An associated feature is disabled 3) The fields is available either when a record is created or updated but not in both cases

Reason of Error

If you ever see this error while trying to access certain fields in ExtendInsights, it's probably because those fields are not available to you on the default form.

Solution

You can resolve this error by adding a Custom Form field to your template definition.

Once you add the Custom Form to your template, save it and reload onto the sheet. Now when you try to select picklists or make updates to these fields you will not get the error anymore.
