How to Prepare for the Upgrade?

The upgrade will roll out to all customers on May 20th. Learn more about this here.

  • No Switching Back: Once you complete the upgrade, you will not have the option to switch to the previous version of CloudExtend.

  • Email Address Verification: Logged in to the same account role tied to the workbook. You will be prompted to login to "CloudExtend" with your Microsoft email address. After logging into CloudExtend you will then be prompted to connect to NetSuite using the email address you normally use to login with NetSuite.

  • Read the Notification: Understand the terms and agree before continuing to upgrade.


What will l see?

If you have not yet upgraded, you will see an option "Upgrade" on your login page informing you that you need to upgrade and the legacy app is deprecated. The downloaded saved searches will be migrated to the new version!

Once logged in, you will see the preview of saved searches on all workbooks.

  • All successful saved searches will be toggled on by default.

  • Saved searches with errors will have an error pane and be turned off by default.

  • You can only do this once, so review and select saved searches that you wish to be upgraded by using the toggle button.

Upgrade Successful message will appear in the CloudExtend panel. Click the Upgrade Summary button and a new worksheet will appear with the upgrade status information.

  • If you do not have the new app yet, click Install the New App, and follow the guide here.

  • If the new app version is available on your Data tab, launch the app. You will see saved searches and the schedules migrated over to new app!

FAQ

πŸ”΅ Do I need to install something for the upgrade or it will auto upgrade?

  • You would have to install the new CloudExtend Excel for NetSuite app from the Microsoft App Store and Sign in with your Microsoft Account in the new app to see all your existing reports after Upgrade.

πŸ”΅ By when will I have the option to stay on the standalone version of CEAN?

  • Till Mid May. We would force all users to upgrade in the week of on 20th May.

πŸ”΅ What is new in this Upgrade?

  • Support for multiple connections, Support for Login with Google, unified login and connection for both data management and Analytics, renaming connections. Learn more about it here.

πŸ”΅ I want to use Google login in the new app. Will my reports be migrated to the Google id or Microsoft?

  • During upgrade you will be asked to sign in with Microsoft account again so your reports would be migrated to the new version against the Microsoft id. If you want to use Google account going forward, please contact CloudExtend Support. We will guide you through the process.

πŸ”΅ If I missed to include few reports during Upgrade, how can I access them again in the new app?

  • You would have an option to Download Summary after Upgrade. Using that option you can see an overview of what reports were upgraded to new version and which ones were excluded along with workbook url. So you can review the workbooks from there and then recreate the ones you want in the new version.

πŸ”΅ I got an error when migrating, what should I do?

  • If the Upgrade fails due to any reason, you may reach out to our support by using the help button at the bottom of the screen!
