💡 Tip: It is best to check out the forms and fields and identify the header, column, and required fields in NetSuite that you may need to build the template.
If you are using NetSuite Classic Interface you can go to:

For easy visuals, you can color code or change the header names (row 2), it will not affect the mapping.

Create an Assembly Build
Step 1: Add the header-level fields to the template.
Note:
If you have multiple lines with the same header values, NetSuite will treat them as one record and combine the data from all the lines into a single record. This can be useful for keeping your data organized and avoiding duplicate records.
Step 2: For Serialized Items, we will be working on Columns G to I.
Receipt Inventory Number allows to insert a brand new Serial number, which will be associated to the serialized item.
The number of rows will depend on the quantity (Column F), and serial numbers (Column H) needs to be assigned.
Step 3: Scroll to the right. Repeat Serial Lot depending on the quantity.
For this example, we have two and I have to repeat the Component List: Item and Quantity twice. NetSuite will require a quantity of 2 for the SerialLotitem1.
Step 4: Scroll to the right. Assign the Serial Numbers in column L from the system that are associated to the SerialLotItem. This is a type field, where you can use Cell Operation feature to look for the items.
The third and fourth rows are not Serialized Items, which only require setting the Quantity in Column K.
Step 5: Upload the to NetSuite. See the full data below sent to NetSuite.
Here is how the record was created in NetSuite!
