User Edition: Granting Microsoft Consent

ExtendSync Outlook | See the configuration to get started for User Edition users

For User edition users to try out the new app, it is mandatory that they grant Microsoft consent so that all features work seamlessly. You can grant consent yourself if you have the proper permissions, otherwise, you will need to request your Microsoft admin to perform the grant.

Granting Microsoft Consent

If you have permissions to grant access, click Accept to continue.


What happens if you do not have permission to Grant Access?

In case you get to a screen that requires your Microsoft admin to grant access for you, click send Request Approval to Microsoft Admin.

Microsoft Admin Review Request from Email

Your Microsoft Admin will be notified of the request sent via email and need to follow the steps below.

Step 1: An email will be sent to Microsoft Admin and choose Review Request.

Step 2: Locate CloudExtend Outlook for NetSuite then click Review Permissions and consent.


Microsoft Admin Grant Consent Options

For Microsoft admins, there are various options to grant consent for users. Depending on your preferred setup, you may:

Enable Consent on behalf of your Organization

Step 1: Open the link and log in using a Microsoft Global Admin account.

Step 2: Click the Maintain access to data and enable the Consent on behalf of your organization.

Step 3: Click Accept.

Step 4: No further steps are needed as permissions have been granted to all users.

Enable Consent for a Specific Set of Users

Step 1: Open the link and log in using a Microsoft Global Admin account.

Step 2: Validate if the Consent on behalf of your organization is unchecked.

Step 3: Click Accept.

Step 4: Go to Azure portal: https://portal.azure.com/ and click Enterprise Application.

Step 5: Search for OLNS Personal Edition then click Review Application.

Step 6: Select Assign users and groups.

Step 7: Choose Add user/group then search for users or groups to set permissions.

Step 8: Go to Content and Permissions > User Consent Settings:

Step 9: Choose the consent setting you prefer.

๐Ÿ’ก Note:

If you are selecting, Allow User consent for the app from verified publishers for selected permissions. Click the link to set permissions to be classified as low-impact.
