FAQ: Setting to check your Microsoft Grant Status for Scheduling

XLANS | Learn if the Microsoft Grant Consent has been given to CloudExtend

Updated over a week ago

We have introduced a new setting for Analytics users called Microsoft Grant Status which would help users know which Microsoft Grant Consent they have given to CloudExtend to access their Excel sheet online so that schedules run properly are still active or Expired.

This setting will have 3 statuses:

  • Active - Status would be active if your Microsoft Grant is active and not revoked by your MS admin either manually or due to any policy change.

  • Expired - Status would be expired if your Microsoft Grant was revoked. This could be due to any reason: either your MS admin revoked it or due to any policy change etc.

  • Not Granted - Status would be Not Granted if you haven't used the scheduling feature until now. When you try to schedule for the first time you will be asked to give Microsoft consent after which the status would turn to Active.

When you open a workbook where a search is running on schedule and the grant has expired you will see an appropriate error message guiding you to the Settings page from where you can Regrant access.
