To improve performance, ExtendInsights caches picklist values (such as Customers, Items, Accounts, Locations, and other list-based fields). This allows faster lookups and smoother data entry in Excel.
If you’re not seeing newly added or updated values, you can manually refresh the picklist cache.
When Should I Refresh Picklist Values?
Refresh picklists if:
A new NetSuite record was recently created (for example, a new customer or item)
A picklist value was updated or made active/inactive
Expected values are missing from the picklist
You recently changed NetSuite roles or permissions
How to Refresh Picklist Values
Follow these steps in the ExtendInsights template builder or worksheet:
Locate the picklist search box for the field.
Hover over the three-dot menu (⋯) next to the search box.
Click Refresh.
ExtendInsights will:
Re-query NetSuite
Clear the cached values
Load the most current picklist values
The refreshed values will be immediately available for selection.
Still Not Seeing the Expected Values?
If refreshing the picklist values did not resolve the issue, the underlying metadata may need to be refreshed.
ExtendInsights relies on cached record and field metadata in addition to picklist values. When new fields, records, or permissions are introduced, a metadata refresh may be required.

Another possible issue is that your user role in NetSuite does not have permission to custom fields. Seek help from your NetSuite admin to review your role permissions.
