Retrieve Invoices
You can retrieve existing invoices using:
A NetSuite Saved Search
A Data Filter
NetSuite Internal IDs
➡️ See the Retrieve Data guide collection for instructions on each method.
After retrieving invoices into a template, you can update existing values, add lines, or delete lines.
Update an Existing Invoice
Retrieve the invoice into Excel.
Change the fields you want to update.
🚨 Keep the Internal ID unchanged. ExtendInsights uses it to identify the existing NetSuite record to update.
If you change a line’s Quantity and want NetSuite to recalculate the Amount, clear the Amount cell.
In the ExtendInsights panel, click Upload to NetSuite, then Upload Records.
Review the upload result. An Internal ID highlighted in green indicates a successful upload.
Check the invoice in NetSuite to confirm the changes.
Add Lines to an Existing Invoice
If you have an existing record and you need to add lines in between or below the existing record, you can do that within our application.
Retrieve the invoice into Excel.
Insert worksheet rows for the additional invoice lines where you want them to appear.
Repeat the invoice’s header values on the new rows so ExtendInsights recognizes that the lines belong to the same invoice.
Enter the line-level values, such as Item, Quantity, and Amount. You can prepare values in another worksheet and copy them into the template.
In the ExtendInsights panel, click Upload to NetSuite, then Upload Records.
Review the upload result. An Internal ID highlighted in green indicates a successful upload.
Check the invoice in NetSuite to confirm the new lines were added.
