Welcome to ExtendInsights. This guide walks admins through every step required to get ExtendInsights up and running.

Follow the steps below in order. Each step identifies who performs it so you can coordinate across roles before starting.

Who Is Involved?

Three roles may be needed for setup. In smaller organizations, one person may cover more than one role.

Role	What They Do
Subscription Admin	Assigns and manages user licenses in the CloudExtend portal
Microsoft 365 Admin (optional)	Centrally deploys the Excel add-in across the organization. Optionally, end users can install on their own.

These users do not need to complete their steps simultaneously.

Before You Begin

Confirm the following before starting:

Your organization has an active or trial Enterprise subscription for ExtendInsights
You know which ExtendInsights features your organization is licensed for

Supported Excel versions:

Excel 2019 or later
Excel with a Microsoft 365 subscription (recommended)
Excel Online

Scheduling features (Analytics only) additionally require:

Workbook saved to OneDrive for Business or SharePoint
User has an active Microsoft 365 subscription

📝 If users cannot install add-ins from Microsoft AppSource, share the Central Deployment Guide with your Microsoft 365 Administrator.

Core Setup (Required)

The following steps must be completed before users can begin using ExtendInsights.

4. Connect to your Data Source	End Users	Each user opens the add-in in Excel, logs in with their Microsoft 365 account, and selects their Data Source	📘 Connect to your Data Source

Once all users have successfully logged in, your ExtendInsights environment is ready to use.
