The layout helps users quickly find templates, filters, uploads, and settings.

ExtendInsights Federated Identity

ExtendInsights now uses federated identity for authentication.

What This Means

  • No need to sign out to switch NetSuite roles or accounts

  • Multiple NetSuite connections can be added and used seamlessly

This identity model is shared across ExtendInsights products and improves both security and usability.

Login with Google

Users can log in using a Google account, which is especially helpful for organizations that do not use Microsoft 365.

This provides the same full functionality as a Microsoft-based login.

Sharing Templates Within the Organization

ExtendInsights supports Organization Templates, allowing users to:

  • Share templates across the team

  • Maintain consistent record structures

  • Reduce duplicate template creation

Filters Travel with the Workbook

Filters are now saved with the workbook, not just the template.

This means:

  • Shared workbooks retain their filters

  • Other users can view, reuse, or edit those filters

  • Filters remain scoped to the correct record type

This significantly improves collaboration.

Improved Saved Search & Filter Experience

Saved Searches and user-created filters are now:

  • Presented in a single, unified interface

  • Easier to browse and apply

  • Designed to support future enhancements (such as layering filters on top of Saved Searches)

Improved Picklist (Cell Operations) Design

The Picklist panel has been redesigned to be:

  • Draggable and expandable

  • Easier to browse large value lists

  • Minimizable when not in use

Additional improvements include:

  • Easier clearing of field values

  • Clear options to:

    • Set value to empty

    • Select from the picklist

Theme Support

Users can choose:

  • Light mode

  • Dark mode

  • System default

ExtendInsights also uses environment-aware colors to help prevent mistakes:

  • πŸ”΅ Production/Test Drive

  • 🟒 Sandbox

This ensures users always know which NetSuite environment they’re working in.

Support for 2024.1 NetSuite WSDL

We have upgraded to the latest stable version of NetSuite WSDL i.e 2024.1 which would help users work with all new fields that have been exposed as part of 2024.1 release by NetSuite. Support for new records that were released as part of 2024.1 release will come soon as our team is working on testing their support. In the meantime, if there is any record type that you would like to work with which is not visible in the app, please send us a request. We would test that on priority and expose it.

No restriction on the number of NetSuite accounts

There is no limit to the number of NetSuite accounts a user can access.

As long as your email is licensed by your admin:

  • You can connect to multiple Production, Sandbox, and Test Drive accounts

  • All connections are managed from the same add-in
