ExtendInsights Analytics uses a streamlined workspace designed to make the app intuitive and focused on common reporting tasks. The layout helps you quickly access saved searches, schedules, and system status, so you can efficiently retrieve and manage NetSuite data directly in Excel.

Below is an overview of the ExtendInsights Analytics workspace and its key areas.


Workbook Setup

When working in a workbook, you can pull Saved Searches or Queries from NetSuite directly into Excel using ExtendInsights.

Once retrieved, your saved searches or queries appear in the ExtendInsights panel, where they can be refreshed, scheduled, or reviewed as needed.

Reports Tab

The Reports tab lists all saved searches added to the workbook.

From this tab, you can:

  • See list of all saved searches in the workbook

  • Run manual refreshes

  • Use Filter to copy a saved search and narrow data pull

  • Add more saved searches


Queries Tab

The Queries tab is used to create and manage SuiteQL queries, including AI-generated queries.

From this tab, you can:

  • Create new SuiteQL queries using AI Query Generator or manual SQL

  • Preview query results before downloading

  • Save, rename, edit, and delete queries

  • Add descriptions to help teams understand each query

  • Run queries manually or assign them to schedules

This tab is ideal for users who need more flexibility than saved searches provide.


Schedule Tab (Enterprise Only)

The Schedule tab is available to Enterprise customers and is used to automate data refreshes.

From this tab, you can:

  • Create and manage schedules

  • Assign Saved Searches and SuiteQL queries to a schedule

  • Review and update existing automation settings

Scheduling helps keep Excel data aligned with NetSuite automatically.


Menu

The Menu section contains application-level settings and controls.

From the Menu, you can:

  • View upload and connection status

  • Switch between NetSuite roles and environments

  • Change the application theme (Light, Dark, or System default)
