Welcome to ExtendInsights Analytics for NetSuite. We’re glad to have you on board.
This guide helps Enterprise customers complete the required setup so users can run NetSuite Saved Searches and automate analytics directly from Excel.
Who Is Required for the Initial Setup?
To complete the setup, the following roles are required. In some organizations, one person may perform multiple roles. These users do not need to complete their steps at the same time.
Subscription Admin https://portal.cloudextend.app/
A user with NetSuite admin rights
(Optional). A user with GLOBAL ADMIN rights to your Microsoft 365 environment
Before You Begin
Make sure the following are true before starting setup:
You have an active or trial Enterprise subscription for ExtendInsights Analytics
You know which Analytics features your organization is licensed for
Users will work in Excel to analyze NetSuite data
Review Excel Add-In Requirements
ExtendInsights works with the following Excel environments:
Excel 2019 or later
Excel with a Microsoft 365 subscription (recommended)
Excel Online
Scheduling Requirements (Analytics Only)
To use scheduling features:
Workbook must be saved to OneDrive for Business or SharePoint
User must have a Microsoft 365 subscription (required)
📝 Note:
If users cannot install add-ins from Microsoft AppSource, share this guide with your Microsoft 365 Administrator.
Core Setup (Required)
The following steps must be completed before users can begin using ExtendInsights Analytics.

5. SuiteQL NetSuite permission requirements (Optional) | NetSuite Admin | Requires SuiteAnalytics permissions

6. Manage licenses | Subscription Admin | Assign user licenses in the CloudExtend portal

7. Install ExtendInsights Excel add-in | End Users or Microsoft Admin | Install the ExtendInsights Excel Data Connector

8. Log in and connect to NetSuite | End Users | Log in and select the correct NetSuite role and environment

💡 Note: Central Deployment for ExtendInsights
Microsoft supports central deployment of Excel add-ins, which is ideal for Enterprise environments or organizations that restrict AppSource access.
⚠️ Important - Column Names (Working with Saved Searches)
If your searches use grouping or summary, please be sure that you use a summary label to name the column in your saved search. The reason for this is that the new feature we are leveraging in NetSuite does not use the same field header as NetSuite's older search technology and this could break your downstream processes.
