FAQ: Sticky Settings for One-Time and Autopilot Tab

ExtendSync Outlook | Know how the sticky settings for both the Autopilot and One-Time tab work

Updated over 2 weeks ago

ExtendSync remembers your preferred tab and selection each time you open the add-in a feature known as Sticky Settings.

This allows you to work more efficiently by keeping your most recently used tab or option selected automatically.

How Sticky Settings Work

The sticky behavior determines which tab (One-Time or Autopilot) opens by default when you launch the ExtendSync add-in.

Action

What Happens Next Time You Open the Add-In

You open the add-in for the first time

The One-Time tab is selected by default.

You switch to Autopilot

The Updates to this thread option becomes the default Autopilot selection.

You later choose To/From/CC under Autopilot

The next time you open the add-in, it will default to Updates to this thread.

You select the One-Time tab again

The app will continue to open on One-Time for every email until you switch back.

πŸ’‘ Notes:

  • Sticky settings are stored in the browser's local storage.

  • If at any point the local storage is cleared, the default behavior would apply which is One-Time.

  • Admins can enable or disable the Autopilot feature for users via the CloudExtend Subscription Portal.
