If you encounter Error Code 422 when trying to log in to ExtendSync for Outlook, it typically indicates a permission issue with your assigned NetSuite role.
To resolve this error, your NetSuite Administrator must review and update your role permissions.
Cause
NetSuite is rejecting the authentication request from ExtendSync because the current role doesn’t have sufficient access for the required API operations.
This can occur when:
The User Access Tokens permission is missing or set too low.
Your role lacks SOAP Web Services or Login Using Access Tokens permissions.
Resolution
Ask your NetSuite Admin to verify and update your role permissions as follows:
1. Go to Setup > User/Roles > Manage Roles
Locate and Edit assigned role
2. Navigate to Permissions > Setup. Add or update the folloing permissions:
SOAP Web Services (FULL)
User Access Tokens (FULL)
Login Using Access Tokens (FULL)
These permissions are crucial for our app to authenticate properly with NetSuite.
3. Advise users to re-login.
