This article walks you through installing the ExtendInsights Excel applications for NetSuite.

This includes prerequisites, bundle installation, and the Excel add-in setup.


πŸŽ₯ Install the ExtendInsights Excel Add-In

You can watch the short installation video or follow the steps below.

Step 1: Before You Start

  • Open Excel

  • Confirm you are signed in to your Microsoft 365 account
    (Your name should appear in the top-right corner of Excel.)

Step 2: Install the ExtendInsights Add-In

  1. Click Home in Excel.

  2. Click Add-ins, then select Get Add-ins.

  3. Search for ExtendInsights.

  4. Install ExtendInsights Excel Data Connector.

Once installed, the ExtendInsights task pane will be available in Excel.

Step 3: Log in to ExtendInsights

After installation, open the ExtendInsights task pane in the Data tab and sign in.


What You Get with ExtendInsights

If your organization has subscribed to all ExtendInsights feature sets, you have access to:

  • Data Management features

    • Create and edit NetSuite records directly in Excel

  • Analytics features

    • Run NetSuite Saved Searches from Excel

    • Refresh data on demand or on a schedule

Each feature set appears in its own Excel task pane, but they are installed using the same Excel add-in.
