Updated over a week ago

Let's create new leads and prospects faster using the Cloudextend Excel Data Management.

See it in action in the video below!

Template Layout

πŸ’‘ Tip: It is best to check out the forms and fields and identify the header, column, and required fields in NetSuite that you may need to build the template.

If you are using NetSuite Classic Interface you can go to:

Lists> Relationships> Leads > New

Select the Customer record type in the CloudExtend template builder.

  • Custom Form (Optional. Select the form you want to use for this record)

  • Subsidiary (Mandatory. For NetSuite OneWorld accounts)

  • is Person (Set to TRUE for the record to be created as an Individual)

  • Company Name

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Entity Status (Mandatory field)

πŸ’‘ Note:

Assign permission for the role to be able to update the Entity Status field:

For NetSuite Admin

Step 1: Edit the role assigned to the user (Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles) then under Permissions > Setup. Ensure that View (lowest setting) permissions are set for the records and roles you are working with. Typically the following are added.

Under Setup Tab

Customer Status

If this is not set, you will get the error:

Permission violation: You need the 'Customer Status' permission to access this page.

Create Lead or Prospect Records

Step 1: Fill in values to the table

You can manually enter or copy and paste from another source file to your CloudExtend template. Make sure you have they have the same structure and field type to avoid errors.

Step 2: Set Entity Status.

Choose the status if you wish to create the record as a Lead or Prospect.

Since this is a list-type field you can do the following:

  • Enter enough key terms for CloudExtend to look up the values.

  • Use internal Ids, and wrap the internal id in a double bracket [[nn]].

  • Choose from the Cell Operations picklist values at the bottom of the CloudExtend panel.

πŸ’‘ Note: If this is not part of your template, the record will be created as a customer record.
