Issue
When downloading saved searches using ExtendInsights, only a few rows at the top will be recognized as part of the table. The remaining rows at the bottom will contain data that was downloaded but is not included in the table.
Cause
The issue is related to a missing setting in Excel which is the Automatic Table Expansion.
Resolution
To resolve this, follow the steps below:
Step 1: In Excel, go to File > Options > Proofing.
Step 2: Click AutoCorrect Options> AutoFormat As You Type.
Step 3: Check the box for Include new rows and columns in table.
Step 4: Click Ok and continue.
Step 5: Redownload the saved search via ExtendInsights app.
💡Note:
When the Include new rows and columns in table option is checked, typing data directly below the last row or to the right of the last column of an Excel table will automatically extend the table to include that new data.
This means, new rows and columns will inherit the table's formatting, formulas (if applicable, such as calculated columns), and other table features.
