This guide helps end users install ExtendInsights Analytics for NetSuite, log in successfully, and begin working with NetSuite data in Excel.
If your organization deploys add-ins centrally, your Microsoft 365 Admin may complete some steps for you.
Prerequisites
Before installing ExtendInsights Analytics, confirm the following:
NetSuite Requirements
Your NetSuite role includes required permissions, including:
SOAP Web Services
User Access Tokens

Microsoft / Excel Requirements
A Microsoft 365 subscription is required
One of the following:
Excel 2019 or later, or
Excel Online
System Requirements
The CloudExtend Excel Analytics for NetSuite bundle is installed in NetSuite
For scheduling component:
Files must be saved to OneDrive for Business or SharePoint
Important: Email Address & Login Identity
ExtendInsights uses ExtendInsights Federated Identity (CEFI).
You log in using your Microsoft or Google account
ExtendInsights securely associates that account with your NetSuite email
Once logged in, you can switch:
NetSuite roles
NetSuite accounts
Environments
without signing out
💡 This is expected behavior and designed to simplify your workflow.
End-User Installation

Open Excel
Confirm you are signed in to your Microsoft 365 account
Your name should appear in the top-right corner
Click Home
Select Add-ins
Click Get Add-ins
Search for CloudExtend
Install CloudExtend for NetSuite
Log In to ExtendInsights Analytics
After installation:
Open the ExtendInsights add-in in Excel
Click Log in
Sign in with your Microsoft or Google account
Select:
Your NetSuite account
The correct role
Having Trouble Logging In?
Most login issues are caused by missing NetSuite role permissions.
If you see errors or cannot connect:
Share the NetSuite permissions article with your NetSuite Admin
Once permissions are updated, try logging in again
This is expected and not a product bug.
Centralized Deployment (Microsoft Admins)
Microsoft supports centralized deployment of Excel add-ins, allowing admins to install ExtendInsights Analytics for multiple users at once.
This is ideal if:
Your organization blocks Microsoft AppSource access
You want to deploy ExtendInsights at scale

Tips & Best Practices
Restart Excel if the add-in does not appear immediately
Use the same Microsoft or Google email consistently
Confirm you are selecting the correct NetSuite role on login
Save scheduled files only to OneDrive for Business or SharePoint
