ExtendInsights Analytics | Log in and manage NetSuite connections

Updated over a week ago

This article explains how to log in to ExtendInsights Analytics for NetSuite, understand which NetSuite environment you’re connected to, and manage multiple NetSuite connections or roles.

Prerequisites

Before logging in, confirm the following:

  • You have an active ExtendInsights Analytics license

  • The ExtendInsights Excel add-in is installed

  • Your NetSuite role includes the required permissions
(SOAP Web Services, User Access Tokens, etc.)

If you’re unsure, share the prerequisites article with your NetSuite Admin.

How to Log In to ExtendInsights

Step 1: Select NetSuite

From the ExtendInsights welcome screen, select NetSuite as your data source.

Step 2: Sign In with Microsoft or Google

You’ll be prompted to sign in using your Microsoft or Google account.

Once you sign in:

  • Your existing ExtendInsights for Analytics license is mapped to that Microsoft or Google ID.

  • This ID is used for all future logins.

💡 Important Notes

  • You won’t be asked to sign in again unless you clear your browser cache or open ExtendInsights in a different browser.

  • Always sign in using the same Microsoft or Google account. Your license is tied to one identity only.

Step 2: Enter Your NetSuite Account ID

ExtendInsights will ask for your NetSuite Account ID.

NetSuite Account Number
In order to use the login flow, you will need your NetSuite Account Number. This can be located in the URL while you are logged into NetSuite in a browser. Learn how to find your NetSuite account ID here.

Step 3: Select Your NetSuite Role

After entering your account number:

  1. Choose the NetSuite role assigned to you by your admin

  2. Click Allow to complete authentication

💡 Important:
You may be prompted to enter your NetSuite username and password.
If login fails here, it usually means:

  • Your role is missing required permissions

  • SSO settings are not configured correctly

  • Your NetSuite email does not match your Google Workspace email

If this happens → contact your admin and refer them to the prerequisites guide.

Step 4: You're Logged In!

Once authenticated, ExtendInsights will connect to your NetSuite account.

Environment Color Indicators

ExtendSync displays a color bar in the panel so you always know which environment you’re using:

  • 🔵 Blue- Production or Test Drive

  • 🟢 Green - Sandbox

This helps avoid creating and updating records to the wrong account.
