Template Layout
💡 Tip: It is best to check out the forms and fields and identify the header, column, and required fields in NetSuite that you may need to build the template.
If you are using NetSuite Classic Interface you can go to:
Path: Transactions > Customers > Issue Return Authorization
Tran ID
Created From
Item List: Item
Item List: Order Line
Item List: Quantity
Item List: Location
Item List: Item Receive
Item List: Replace All (Use for partial receipt/fulfillment)
Create Item Receipt from RMAs
The key to creating an Item Receipt that's linked to a Return Authorization is to ensure you reference the line(s) from your RAs. Since line numbers may change, we recommend loading your original Return Authorization into ExtendInsights for easy reference.
In a separate tab, load the Item Receipt Template.
Step 1: Create and Load the Return Authorization
In the video, a template has been built for Return Authorization using the following fields:
Tran Id
Entity
Order Status
Item List: Line
Item List: Quantity
Item List: Amount
Item List: Tax Code
💡Tip! You can retrieve the Return Authorization you want to receive using a data filter, saved search, or reload action. Read on the articles below:

Step 2: Create the Item Receipt template based on the template layout
Since you have the Return Authorization template ready to be populated, you can copy and paste or use a formula from Sales Order to your template.
Header and Line Data
Tran ID > Created From
Item List: Line> Item List: Order Line
Item List: Item> Item List: Item
Item List: Quantity> Item List: Quantity (adjust quantity received if necessary)
Item List: Item Received > TRUE or FALSE
Item List: Replace All > Set field TRUE or FALSE (Optional)
💡Tip! To create one record, those lines that have the same header values will be recognized as one record.
Step 3: Upload to NetSuite
Send the record to NetSuite, click Upload to NetSuite, and hit the Upload Records button.
Validate the upload in NetSuite. See how the record was created below:
