  • Modern design and easier navigation

  • New features to manage and build templates faster

  • Schedule your downloads

  • Access to additional data sources - NetSuite, Chargebee, Stripe, HubSpot and Google Analytics

Learn more about the upgrade here!

You can continue using the CloudExtend for Salesforce application until August 23, 2025.

After this August 23, 2025, migration will be required to maintain access and functionality.

Migration timeline

  • Migration begins on July 23, 2025

  • You can migrate at anytime until August 23, 2025

  • After August 23, 2025, the legacy application will no longer be functional.

  • You will see a banner to upgrade.

  • Click Upgrade and Migrate.

  • Sign in with your Microsoft or Google account.

  • Templates will move under this account. Use the email you plan to keep.

Step 3: Confirm your details

  • Review your name, business email, and role.

  • Click Next.

Step 4: Review your templates

  • You’ll see how many templates were found.

  • Click Review Templates to check them.

Step 5: Start migration

Before clicking Migrate, take note of the following:

  • Keep your browser open until migration finishes.

  • Migration usually takes a few minutes.

  • Once done, migration is final (no rollback).

  • After migration, you will install the new add-in.

Once you click the Migrate button, read the terms and confirm. Then, click Start Migration to proceed.

Step 6: Wait while templates migrate

  • The screen will show Migrating your templates…

  • Don’t close or refresh your browser.

Step 7: Migration complete

Depending on results:

  • If all templates migrated, you’ll see a success screen and can install the new add-in.

  • If some templates need updates, you’ll see details under Attention required.

After the new add-in has been installed the templates will be appearing on the templates list.

Template Migration Behaviour

Templates are migrated with best-effort handling. Here’s how different scenarios are managed in the new application

  • Missing Objects

    • If the main object used in a template is unavailable:

      • If a valid SOQL query can still be generated, the template will migrate with SOQL only.

      • If not, the template will migrate empty, without fields or filters.

  • Missing Fields or Filters

    • If field(s) no longer exist in the latest Salesforce version, those field(s) will be removed, but the rest of the template will migrate.

    • If a filter references a missing field, only that filter is dropped in migration.

    • If any one of the filters uses the "OR" operator on a related (child) object,

      • All filters in that template will be dropped in migration (due to limitations from Salesforce).

  • Missing Connection in CESF

    • If the user’s account has no connection available in CESF:

      • If SOQL can be generated, the template will migrate with it.

      • Otherwise, it will migrate empty.

  • Duplicate Template Names

    • Templates with the same name as existing ones in the new app are not automatically migrated. You will need to rename or manually merge them after migration.

You can fix these directly in the ExtendInsights Excel Data Connector.

License Migration

  • If a user begins a trial of the new app and is then migrated, the trial license will be automatically replaced with the user’s existing Enterprise license from CESF.
