With ExtendInsights you can optimize your process of creating and updating Lead records in Salesforce.

Template Layout

πŸ’‘ Tip: It is best to check out the forms and fields and identify the header, column, and required fields in Salesforce that you may need to build the template.

Select Lead as your object and set the following fields, they will depend on your form setup:

  • Company

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Lead Source

  • Email

  • Phone

  • Status


Create Lead

Step 1: Populate the Table

You can add data to your ExtendInsights template by:

  • Manually entering values directly into the table.

  • Copying and pasting from another source file. Ensure the source file has the same structure and field types to avoid errors.

  • Using formulas and setting the cell format to General before input.

Step 2: Entity Status and Lead Source field.

These fields are list-type, so you can choose one of the following methods:

  • Enter enough key terms for ExtendInsights to match the correct values.

  • Use IDs wrapped in double brackets (e.g., [[Web]]).

  • Select from the Cell Operations picklist at the bottom of the ExtendInsights panel.

Step 3: Select Upload All in the actions box to send the data to Saleforce.
