Overview
If your organization no longer subscribes to ExtendSync for Google NetSuite, you may consider uninstalling the CloudExtend Google Apps SuiteBundle.
This article explains what happens when the bundle is removed and why this action is not recommended unless you fully understand the impact.
Important Warning
Uninstalling the CloudExtend Google Apps bundle is not a recommended action.
Once removed:
Associated custom records are permanently deleted
Certain file associations cannot be restored
Proceed only if you are confident this data is no longer needed.
What Happens If You Uninstall the Bundle
1. Data That Will Be Deleted
Uninstalling the bundle permanently removes:
All CloudExtend Google Apps custom records
All Google Drive subtab file and folder associations in NetSuite
As a result:
Files and folders previously associated via the Google Drive subtab will no longer appear in NetSuite
Those files will still exist in Google Drive only
The NetSuite-to-Google Drive linkage cannot be recovered after uninstall
2. Data That Will Persist
The following data is not deleted when the bundle is removed:
Emails synced using ExtendSync for Google
Email attachments synced to NetSuite records
Messages stored on NetSuite’s native Messages / Communication tab
This data remains accessible in NetSuite.
When Uninstalling Might Be Considered
You might consider uninstalling the bundle if:
Your organization has permanently stopped using ExtendSync for Google
You no longer need Google Drive associations in NetSuite
You understand and accept the permanent data loss described above
This action should be performed only by a NetSuite Administrator.
Disclaimer:
Please know that we do not recommend this option. Please go ahead and proceed at your own risk.
