In Detail: What You Can Do
CloudExtend Files Tab
Included with ExtendSync Enterprise or ExtendDocs
The CloudExtend Files tab is automatically activated for NetSuite Customer and Contact records. Your NetSuite admin can add them to virtually any NetSuite record type.
From the CloudExtend Files tab users can:
Search for folders and files in OneDrive or SharePoint.
Attach them directly to NetSuite records for quick access.
Upload new files to OneDrive/SharePoint and see them on the NetSuite record.
Add-On Capabilities when ExtendSync is paired with ExtendDocs
1. Sync Email Attachments to OneDrive/SharePoint
With both ExtendSync and ExtendDocs active, file attachments from Outlook emails are automatically stored in the appropriate OneDrive/SharePoint location.
Simultaneously, these files remain visible on the NetSuite Messages tab and the CloudExtend Files tab.
It also auto-creates a folder (or folder path hierarchy) in OneDrive/SharePoint and links it to the matching NetSuite record.
2. Auto-Create Folders
Using ExtendDocs, when a new NetSuite record is created (or viewed), a corresponding folder in OneDrive/SharePoint is generated automatically.
That folder is then associated with the NetSuite record and made visible in the CloudExtend Files tab.
This folder creation doesn’t require that ExtendSync itself is licensed for file-saving functions — the folder-linking is enabled via ExtendDocs.
Summary: What You Get With Each Subscription Level
With ExtendSync Enterprise (without ExtendDocs), you still get the CloudExtend Files tab to link or upload files.
To unlock automated folder creation and email attachment syncing, you’ll also need an ExtendDocs subscription.
When both are enabled, you gain a fully automated, behind-the-scenes integration that keeps files in OneDrive/SharePoint and linked to NetSuite records seamlessly.
