ExtendSync for Outlook NetSuite (Enterprise Edition) lets you connect NetSuite with Microsoft OneDrive for Business and SharePoint, giving users true cloud-based storage and seamless visibility of files and folders directly from NetSuite records.


Prerequisitesย 

  • CloudExtend for NetSuite bundle installed

  • An Enterprise subscription to Extendsync for Outlook NetSuite


About the CloudExtend Files Tab

he CloudExtend Files tab lets you view and manage the files and folders associated with your NetSuite records.

๐Ÿ’ก Note:
At present, all ExtendSync customers with the CloudExtend bundle installed will see the tab on Customer and Contact records โ€” but only licensed Enterprise users can use its full functionality.


Who Can Use the CloudExtend Files Tab?

User Type

Access Level

Enterprise Edition Users

  • Can view and access files and folders.

  • Can upload and add new files (if they have appropriate OneDrive/SharePoint permissions).

All Other Users

  • Can see the CloudExtend Files tab, but cannot access or upload files.

Connecting NetSuite to OneDrive for Business and SharePoint

When accessing the CloudExtend Files tab for the first time:

  1. Click Get Started.

  2. Enter your Microsoft 365 credentials when prompted.

  3. Review and accept the requested permissions.

  4. Once permissions are granted, the window will close automatically โ€” your NetSuite account is now connected to OneDrive and SharePoint.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: The connection is secure and uses Microsoftโ€™s authentication flow. Youโ€™ll only need to grant permissions once per account.


Working with the application

Once connected, you can:

  • Upload files directly from your desktop to OneDrive or SharePoint.

  • Select existing files already stored in OneDrive/SharePoint and link them to your NetSuite records.

  • Access and collaborate on these files from within NetSuite โ€” without consuming any File Cabinet storage.
