Before you begin using ExtendSync for Outlook and NetSuite, admins need to make sure the following requirements are in place.
Review Outlook add-in requirements
The following clients support Outlook add-ins:
Outlook with a Microsoft 365 subscription*
Outlook for iOS
Outlook on Android
Support Exchange Online (See set requirements by Microsoft here)
Outlook.com
The client MUST be connected to an Exchange server or Microsoft 365 using a direct connection. When configuring the client, the user must choose an Exchange, Office 365, or Outlook.com account type. If the client is configured to connect with POP3 or IMAP, add-ins will not load.
Subscription Requirements
You must have an active or trial subscription for one of these plans:
βStarter or Enterprise Edition.The free version of ExtendSync was discontinued on August 6, 2024.
Admin Setup Requirements
Your NetSuite and Microsoft 365 administrators need to complete these setup steps before users can connect successfully.
Install the CloudExtend SuiteApp in NetSuite.
This must be done by a NetSuite Administrator.
Enable the Microsoft Grant
This step must be completed by a Microsoft 365 Administrator to grant API permissions.
π If your organization already uses Autopilot, this step is not required.
Access to the CloudExtend Portal
Admin needs to be able to access https://portal.cloudextend.app/.
Manage subscriptions and licenses to users.
About the New App (Released August 2024)
Your user identity is no longer tied to your NetSuite account.
You can sign in with your Microsoft 365 email, then connect to one or more NetSuite accounts or roles using your NetSuite credentials.
Multiple accounts and roles are now supported.
