Before you begin using ExtendSync for Outlook and NetSuite, admins need to make sure the following requirements are in place.
Review Outlook add-in requirements
The following clients support Outlook add-ins:
Outlook with a Microsoft 365 subscription
Outlook for iOS
Outlook on Android
Exchange Online (see Microsoft requirements)
Outlook.com
The client MUST be connected to an Exchange server or Microsoft 365 using a direct connection. If the client is configured to connect with POP3 or IMAP, add-ins will not load.
Subscription Requirements
You must have an active or trial subscription for Starter or Enterprise Edition.
The free version of ExtendSync was discontinued on August 6, 2024.

💡 Global Autopilot users (Enterprise)
If your organization's admin has enrolled you in Global Autopilot, you must have an active NetSuite connection in the ExtendSync add-in for sync to begin. Navigate to Menu → Settings → NetSuite Connection to verify your connection is active. Once confirmed, emails will sync automatically — no further setup is required on your end.
About the New App (Released August 2024)
Your user identity is no longer tied to your NetSuite account.
You can sign in with your Microsoft 365 email, then connect to one or more NetSuite accounts or roles.
Multiple accounts and roles are now supported.
