Welcome to ExtendSync for Outlook NetSuite! We're glad to have you on board!

Use this guide to complete the first-time setup for your organization. You'll connect ExtendSync to Microsoft 365 and NetSuite, manage licenses, and enable optional productivity features.

🏒 Enterprise Admins: Configure Organization-Wide Autopilot for Emails

Want to enable automatic email sync across your organization without requiring any action from end users?

Global Autopilot (Enterprise only) lets administrators configure email sync once from the Admin Portal and apply it automatically to all enrolled users.


Who is required for the initial setup?

Doing the steps below, we need three individuals from your organization. For some companies, this may be the same person. The users do not need to be present at the same time, but they will each be required to perform an action.

  1. The admin assigned to log in to https://portal.cloudextend.app/

  2. A user with GLOBAL ADMIN rights to your Microsoft 365 environment

  3. A user with NetSuite admin rights


Before You Begin

  • You have an active or trial subscription for the Starter or Enterprise Edition.

  • You know which features your organization is licensed for (see categories below).


Review Outlook Add-In Requirements

ExtendSync works with the following supported Outlook clients:

βš™οΈ Connection requirements:

  • The Outlook client must be connected directly to Microsoft 365 or Exchange Online.

  • When setting up Outlook, users must select an account type of Exchange, Office 365, or Outlook.com.

  • If the client is configured with POP3 or IMAP, add-ins will not load, and ExtendSync will not function.

πŸ’‘ Tip: For best performance, we recommend using Outlook with a Microsoft 365 subscription connected to Exchange Online.

2. Install the CloudExtend SuiteApp

NetSuite Admin

Install the ExtendSync Outlook SuiteApp.

3. Complete NetSuite prerequisites

NetSuite Admin

Verify that all required NetSuite roles, permissions, and prerequisites are configured correctly.

Additional permissions for Global Autopilot

4. Manage licenses in the CloudExtend Portal

Portal Admin

Assign licenses to users in https://portal.cloudextend.app/.

5. Grant Microsoft API Access

Microsoft 365 Admin

Approve Microsoft consent for required API permissions.

(Must grant consent once per tenant/domain)

6. Shared Mailbox (Optional)

Portal Admin

Required Admin-configured shared mailbox.

7. Install ExtendSync Outlook Add-in

End Users

Install the Outlook add-in, sign in with Microsoft 365, and connect to NetSuite.
