ExtendSync Outlook Enterprise Edition
Global Autopilot
Overview
Global Autopilot requires specific NetSuite permissions to identify matching records, create contacts (if enabled), and attach emails automatically.
Before enabling Global Autopilot, your NetSuite Administrator should verify that the role used by CloudExtend includes the permissions below.
Required Permissions
In NetSuite:
Setup → Users/Roles → Manage Roles
Select the role being used with ExtendSync and verify the following permissions.
Setup Tab
Permission | Access Level | Details / Purpose |
SOAP Web Services | Full | Required for API communication between CloudExtend and NetSuite. |
User Access Tokens | Full | Required for token-based authentication |
Log in using Access Tokens | Full | Required for token-based authentication |
REST Web Services | Full | Required for Global Autopilot APIs |
Lists Tab
Permission | Access Level | Details / Purpose |
Track Messages | Full | Recommended for ExtendDocs and Global Autopilot users
Required to create and manage email records |
Documents and Files | Full | Recommended for ExtendDocs and Global Autopilot users
Required when syncing attachments |
Contacts | Full | Recommended for the Auto-Create Contact feature
Required for Contact matching |
Customers | View | Required for Customer matching |
Partners | View | Required for Partner matching |
Vendors | View | Required for Vendor matching |
Note: View permissions for both Partners and Vendors are required for the Global Autopilot to function, even if your organization does not actively use these record types. The ExtendSync auto-match engine evaluates incoming emails against NetSuite records in a strict hierarchy (Contact > Customer > Vendor > Partner). To complete this search sequence successfully without throwing an error, the system requires baseline read access to all four record types.

Optional Permissions
These permissions are only required if specific Global Autopilot features are enabled.
Auto-Create Contact
If Auto-Create Contact is enabled in Global Autopilot:
Contacts permission should be set to Full
Users must be allowed to create Contact records
Without this permission, unmatched emails cannot create new Contact records.
Attachment Sync
If Global Autopilot is configured to sync attachments:
Documents and Files should be set to Full
If using ExtendDocs:
Attachments are stored in OneDrive or SharePoint
NetSuite stores secure links rather than file contents
Feature | Edition | Description |
Attachment Autopilot | Enterprise | Automatically store email attachments in the NetSuite File Cabinet. |
Sync Email Attachments to SharePoint | Enterprise and requires ExtendSync + ExtendDocs subscription | Automatically sync email attachments directly to OneDrive or SharePoint. |
Auto-Create Folder
| Enterprise and ExtendDocs subscription required | Auto-creates a OneDrive or SharePoint folder when a new record is viewed or created in NetSuite. |
