Error
You may encounter the following error when logging into ExtendSync for the first time:
Error Code: CEFI-E1118
Error Details: Your Microsoft admin needs to add your first name to your profile.
This occurs when required identity attributes are missing from your Microsoft 365 profile.
Reason of Error
ExtendSync relies on Microsoft 365 user attributes stored in Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID).
The error appears when one or more required attributes, ypically Given Name or Email Address are missing from the user profile.
Because of this, ExtendSync cannot properly identify the user during login.
How to Fix It
Steps for Microsoft Admins:
Go to the Azure Portal
👉 https://portal.azure.com/#homeAt the top search bar, search for Users and choose the option with the colored icon.
From the user list, click the name of the affected user.
Go to Properties and verify the following fields are populated:
Add any missing values, then click Save.
Step 5: Ask the users to retry to log in to ExtendSync.
