ExtendInsights Data Management | Know how to delete ExtendInsights templates

You will now have the option to delete your template when you hover over the name and click on the 3 dots menu. You can remove any unwanted templates that you no longer need using this option.

โš ๏ธ WARNING!

This delete would be a permanent delete and you won't be able to restore the template once deleted.

How to Delete Existing Templates

Step 1: Go to Menu > Templates

Step 2: Hover the name of the template you wish to delete and click the 3 dots.

Step 3: Click Delete.


What happens when a user deletes a shared template?

When a user creates a template and shares it with the organization, it becomes available for all users to use. However, there may be instances where a user decides to delete the template from their list. In this case, what happens to the template and its availability for other users?

๐Ÿ”ต If a user creates a template and shares it with the organization but later deletes it from their list, what will happen?

When a user deletes a template from their list, it will also be deleted for all other users in the organization. This means that the template will no longer be available for anyone to use.

In order to avoid losing important templates, we recommend that users communicate with each other before deleting any shared templates. This way, everyone can be aware of the changes and make necessary adjustments.

๐Ÿ”ต If a user creates a template and the user's license is deleted - does it remove the templates shared within the organization?

No, if a user's license is deleted, the templates they have shared with the organization will not be deleted. This means that the templates will still be available for other users to use.
