Settings: Optimize performance by checking for a connection to the ExtendSync Outlook bundle

ExtendSync Outlook | Learn how to determine if you are connected to the Outlook bundle

Updated yesterday

Optimize your performance by ensuring that you’re connected to the ExtendSync Outlook bundle in NetSuite.

All ExtendSync editions can take advantage of this bundle-based search technology, which delivers faster results and allows for more record types in auto search.

Why Connect to the Bundle?

When connected to the ExtendSync Outlook bundle, you’ll benefit from:

2–3× faster search performance in ExtendSync
✅ The ability to add more than 4 record types to your Auto Search
✅ Seamless integration between Outlook and NetSuite

How to Verify if You’re Connected

To check your connection status:

  1. In Outlook, open the ExtendSync app.

  2. Click Menu → Connections.

  3. Look for the Bundle Connection Status message.

🔍 If you are connected:

You’re good to go — your app is using CloudExtend’s optimized bundle-based search.

⚠️ If you’re not connected:

You’ll see this message:

“Bundle is not installed.”

This means your NetSuite Admin has not yet installed or linked the CloudExtend Outlook bundle in your NetSuite account.

🔄 After the Bundle Is Deployed

Once your NetSuite Admin has deployed the bundle, end users must log out and back in to ExtendSync to activate the connection.

Troubleshooting

If the bundle still appears as “not installed,” try the following:

  • Confirm bundle deployment: Ask your NetSuite Admin to verify the CloudExtend Outlook Bundle appears under Customization → SuiteBundler → Search & Install Bundles → Installed Bundles.

  • Log out and back in: In ExtendSync, go to Menu → Connections → Log Out, then sign back in.

  • Clear cache: If issues persist, clear the add-in cache or restart Outlook.
