FAQ: How to turn off Email Autopilot

ExtendSync Outlook | Know the steps on how to turn off Email Autopilot

Updated over 2 weeks ago

You can turn off Email Autopilot at any time β€” whether it’s for a specific email thread or for an entire email address association.

Turning off Autopilot stops ExtendSync from automatically syncing future emails or threads to NetSuite and does not remove emails in NetSuite.

Turning Autopilot off for a thread

If a conversation starts to go off-topic or you no longer want a thread to sync automatically:

  1. Open the ExtendSync add-in in Outlook.

  2. Go to the Autopilot section.

  3. Click Cancel Autopilot.

πŸ“ Important:

  • Once Autopilot is turned off, it cannot be reactivated from the same email.

  • To re-enable Autopilot:

    1. Reply to the thread.

    2. Open the email from your Sent Items folder.

    3. Select the appropriate NetSuite records.

    4. Re-enable Autopilot.

Turning off Autopilot for email address sync

If you enabled Email Address Based Autopilot, you can do the following to turn off the email address sync.

Step 1: Open Autopilot Settings

  • Click the Menu (☰) on the ExtendSync panel.

  • Select Settings β†’ Email Autopilot Associations.

Step 2: Search for the Email Address

  • Enter the email address you want to manage.

  • Click the matching result β€” this will show:

    • The list of NetSuite records associated with that email.

    • Options to remove the Autopilot association.

Step 3: Remove the Association

  • Hover over the πŸ—‘οΈ trash icon next to the record(s) you want to disable.

  • Click the icon to remove the association.

From this point forward, emails from that address will no longer sync automatically to those NetSuite records.

πŸ’‘ Notes

  • Use partial searches to locate multiple email addresses (e.g., type β€œ@company.com,” β€œ.org,” or β€œ.edu”).

  • ExtendSync performs a wildcard search, so partial matches will display all related email associations.

  • ExtendSync Admins can enable or disable Autopilot for users through the CloudExtend Subscription Portal.
