Define Your ExtendInsights Strategy
Before rollout, align on the following questions and decisions:
Who will use ExtendInsights?
Identify the teams that will use ExtendInsights, such as:
Finance
Sales
Operations
NetSuite Administrators
Different teams often work with different NetSuite record types, so plan accordingly.
What NetSuite record types will be used?
List the specific record types users will manage (for example: Customers, Items, Journal Entries, Transactions).
How will users work with records?
Decide whether users will:
Create new records
Edit existing records
Do both

Encourage users to work in Excel as much as possible to maximize time savings compared to working directly in the NetSuite UI.
Which upload methods will you use?
Real-Time upload β best for smaller datasets
Background upload β recommended for large datasets or long-running jobs

ExtendInsights Data Management supports pulling data for review and preparation.
