Version 1.3.3.0
Date: Apr 2023
About this Release:
The CloudExtend Excel Analytics for NetSuite v1.3.3.0 (XLANS v1.3.3.0) is the latest version of XLANS and is the successor to its v1.3.2.0. This release comes with a fix for an issue where scheduled reports would fail with the error No data available.
This would occur in searches which had multiple pages but after downloading a few pages of results from NetSuite, it would fail with this error and user's workbook was not completely updated. It would randomly occur in searches and was not consistently reproducible. We have found a possible fix for this that should fix 80% of occurrence of this error for all users. This release comes with a fix for this issue.
What’s New in this Release:
No feature enhancements, deprecations or removals were done in this release
Fixed Issues:
Fixed No data available error that would occur when schedules failed : There was an issue with scheduled searches where when the schedule runs and search had multiple pages but after downloading a few pages of results from NetSuite, it would fail with
No data available
error and user's workbook was not completely updated. It would randomly occur in searches and was not consistently reproducible. We have found a possible fix for this that should fix 80% of occurrence of this error for all users. From this release onwards this error will not be seen in majority of scheduled runs and workbooks will be updated correctly.
Version 1.3.2.0
Date: Feb 2023
About this Release:
The CloudExtend Excel Analytics for NetSuite v1.3.2.0 (XLANS v1.3.2.0) is the latest version of XLANS and is the successor to its v1.3.1.0. This release comes with a fix for an issue where scheduled reports would fail with the error This won't work because it would move cells in a table on your worksheet.
Users had to manually refresh the search once to resolve this error. This is fixed now and manual refresh would not be required. We have also made a minor change to Scheduling UI to make the Daily option as default instead of Hourly.
What’s New in this Release:
No feature enhancements, deprecations or removals were done in this release
What Has Changed in this Release:
Made Daily option as default while scheduling: We have made a change in Scheduling UI where user sets a schedule for his saved search. The default option would now be Daily schedule. Hourly schedule is still available to be selected from options but we show an additional warning as putting saved searches on Hourly schedule might slow down your NetSuite account and it has to be selected only when absolutely required.
Fixed Issues:
Fixed a common error that would occur when schedules failed : There was an issue with scheduled searches where when the schedule runs and search doesn't return any results or there was an error while writing to the excel sheet, excel table was left with 1 row. Next time when the schedule ran it would fail with an error saying
This won't work because it would move cells in a table on your worksheet
. Users had to manually refresh their search once so that this issue is resolved and search runs on schedule again properly. From this release onwards this error should not be seen and user's schedule should run successfully without any errors.

Version 1.3.0.0
Date: Dec 2022
About this Release:
The CloudExtend Excel Analytics for NetSuite v1.3.0.0 is the latest version of CloudExtend Excel Analytics for NetSuite and is the successor to its v1.2.7.0. This release comes with a few enhancements and fixes that will take away certain issues that users had to experience.
What’s New in this Release:
No feature enhancements, deprecations or removals were done in this release
Fixed Issues:
Data Discrepancy Issue: We had customers report few issues where the data downloaded from Analytics add in vs CSV import was different and the number of lines didn't match. There were also issues found when users had Group type of columns in Saved Search. On further checking and working with NetSuite Support we found this was a defect with NetSuite search module and this was raised as an enhancement by NetSuite (Enhancement record: 505078 SuiteScript 2.0 > N/Search module > search.runPaged() > Grouped results > different results for different pageSize). Till NetSuite fixes this issue, we have found a workaround for this issue so that users are unblocked and they can download data without any issues now.
Note: Because of the workaround implemented to fix this issue, we are unable to show user the total number of records that user will be downloading when they run a search manually. So the text shown will be Downloading 1000 records, Downloading 2000 records etc.
Fixed issue with base locations in Sharepoint: For users to schedule their NetSuite Saved Searches, they have to save their Excel workbook to an online location. Before this release the locations that were supported in Sharepoint had to be stored against a site in Sharepoint. For example the workbook url would start with
sharepoint.com/sites/{siteName}/{filePath}
. Users who had their files stored in Sharepoint but the location didn't match this url, they were facing an issue scheduling searches. This is fixed now and we support all base locations in Sharepoint. So any file stored undersharepoint.com
user will be able to schedule the search.Fixed issue with wrong date shown for last scheduled run for longer searches : There was an issue with wrong date shown for last scheduled run in the app when a scheduled search takes more than an hour to download and update in excel sheet. This is fixed now
Fixed issue with emails not being sent to users and logs not updating in app: During our internal testing we found that emails were no longer being sent when a scheduled report fails to download or update the excel sheet and also the Logs view in the add in was not getting the recent logs. This is fixed now. Users should be seeing the updated logs in Logs view and receive an email when scheduled search fails.
Version 1.2.7.0
Date: Nov 2022
About this Release:
The CloudExtend Excel Analytics for NetSuite v1.2.7.0 (XLANS v1.2.7.0) is the latest version of XLANS and is the successor to its v1.2.6.0. This release comes with a fix for an issue that many users reported in last few days where they were unable to access their reports when they login to the add in. It was prompting users to start from scratch. This is fixed now.
What’s New in this Release:
No feature enhancements, deprecations or removals were done in this release
Fixed Issues:
Unable to view reports and run them manually : In the past few days we got multiple customers reporting that there was an issue in all their workbooks where they are not able to view the reports that were previously visible and its prompting them to start from scratch. On further checking we found that there is some issue with Office document properties that is causing this. We have raised an issue with Microsoft and are in talks with them to identify the root cause. In the meantime, to unblock users we have found a workaround to fix this issue and it is live now. Users should now be able to see all their reports and also run them manually.

Version 1.2.5.0
Date: Jan 2022
About this Release:
The CloudExtend Excel Analytics for NetSuite v1.2.5.0 (XLANS v1.2.5.0) is the latest version of XLANS and is the successor to its v1.2.0.0. This release comes with a few enhancements that will take away certain issues that the XLANS users had to experience.

InventoryBalance
InventoryNumberBin
What Has Changed in this Release:
No feature enhancements, deprecations, or r:emovals in this release.
Fixed Issues:
Resolving the issue with saved searches with Other Prices:
Previously, scheduled saved searches that had the "other prices" field specified did not get executed. Instead, an error was thrown when running the search. This fix enables XLANS users to use saved searches where results would include the other Prices.
⚠️ Note: Column Names for the Other Price columns will be marked as price2, price3, and so on. This is due to a limitation from NetSuite and is reported to NetSuite.
Fix an issue with searches that return more than 5MB:
Previously, we had an issue when saved searches returned data that exceeded 5 MB. The schedule will exit with an error due to the 5MB limit. With this release users would no longer be facing this issue and would be able to work with saved searches that are larger than 5MB.
💡 Pro Tip - If you have searches that return large sets of data and it takes a long time to run you should consider scheduling your search to run in the background or modifying the criteria to limit the data retrieved. You could leverage Excel Power Query to combine search results as well.
