ExtendInsights Analytics | Learn how to transfer searches downloaded to another connection

Updated over 4 months ago

With ExtendInsights, you can connect to multiple roles and different NetSuite environments. If you previously downloaded saved searches using a test connection and wish to have the same saved searches downloaded using your production NetSuite account; you can easily transfer the searches to point to another connection.

For this to work seamlessly take note of the following:

  1. Your Production and Sandbox environments should mirror each other.

  2. The names and search IDs of the saved searches must match.

Step-by-step process

Step 1: Open the workbook with the downloaded saved searches.

Step 2: Navigate to the Left Menu and select Connections. Click on the 3 dots option on the connection card you want to update and select the Update option.

Once you click on Update, you will be asked to enter your NetSuite account number and login to your NetSuite account.

Step 3: Once you complete logging in with your NetSuite account, you will be shown a preview of scheduled saved searches belonging to this connection across all your workbooks as shown below.

You can see a summary of all your scheduled saved search runs with the updated connection. If there is an error running the report using the updated connection, you will see that in the Status column. Once you review all the searches, you can confirm your update. Once done, your connection will be updated and all your searches will now point to the updated connection.

Other Scenarios when to Update the connection

  • When you revoked tokens in NetSuite by mistake or any other reason but still want to use the application.

  • You have created analytics files and dashboard using your sandbox and now want to run these searches with production.

  • When you select the wrong role or account when creating a connection.
