When we have the data at hand, we convert them to pivot table, charts and other visual aids that makes reporting data digestable.
These data sets change frequently, requiring manual chart updates. This is where the scheduling feature comes in! Automating schedules ensures your data stays in sync, aligning with your reporting needs effortlessly.
Before adding a schedule, ensure the following:
This feature is only supported in Excel.
Your Excel file must be stored in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint to write data.
Microsoft consent must be granted.
Schedule Your Downloads
Once you load your data into Excel using ExtendInsights, you can set it up for scheduling.
1. To automate the downloading of queries, you can add schedule to your filters or SOQL. Click Assign Schedule > Create. |
2. On the next screen, give your schedule a name and set the frequency:

3. Set the time you want the query to be downloaded. Click Assign and continue to complete the scheduling .

Manage Schedules
Add Schedule
You can add multiple schedule and set a schedule for your queries that requires automatic updates.
From the Menu
2. Set the frequency and time. 3. Give your schedule a name. 4. Save the new schedule.

Manage Schedule of Queries
View and manage the list of queries assigned to a schedule.
From the Menu
2. Choose Manage Configured Queries. 3. You can review and unsubscibed queries.

1. Select Assign Schedule then hover on the schedule to manage and click the three dots. 2. Choose Manage Configured Queries. 3. You can review and unsubscibed queries.

Edit Schedule
ExtendInsights allows you to update the frequency and schedule timing.
From the Menu
2. Choose Edit. 3. Update the frequency and schedule timing of an existing schedule. 4. Click Update.

1. Select Assign Schedule then hover on the schedule to manage and click the three dots. 2. Choose Edit. 3. Update the frequency and schedule timing of an existing schedule. 4. Click Update.

Delete Schedule
If there is a need to remove or unschedule a query to schedule, it is an option that you have on the ExtendInsights panel too.

2. Choose Delete.
