Where Are Templates Stored?

All ExtendInsights templates are stored in the Template Repository.

  1. Go to Menu → Templates → NetSuite Templates.

  2. Locate the template you are looking for.

Templates may appear in these sections:

  • Pre-built Templates: Ready-to-use templates you can customize.

  • Organization Templates: Templates shared with your organization.

  • My Templates: Templates you created and saved.

⚠️ Before Loading a Template

Always open a new workbook or add a new worksheet before loading a template.

Loading a template will clear all content on the active worksheet.

How to Load a Template

From the Template Repository

  1. Open a new workbook or add a worksheet.

  2. Go to Menu → Templates → NetSuite Templates.

  3. Click the template name to load it.

From the Main Screen

  1. Open a new workbook or add a worksheet.

  2. Enable Start with a Template.

  3. Choose how you want to work with NetSuite records (Create or Search & Download).

Update an Existing Template

Use this when:

    • Click Add fields

  4. Click Continue, then select Yes.

    • (This clears existing data on the worksheet.)

  5. Click Save and Enter Data to load the updated template.

⚠️ Important:
Do not select Save As New Template if you want to overwrite the existing template.

Create a Copy of an Existing Template

Use this option when you want to:

  • Create a variation of an existing template

  1. Follow steps 1 - 4 for updating an existing template.

  3. (Optional) Enable Share within the organization.

  4. Click Save and Enter Data.

💡 Note:
Only the template owner can directly modify a shared template. Other users must create a copy.
