Troubleshooting: Error occurred while fetching the status logs or CEFI-E1113

ExtendSync Outlook | Fix auto sign-outs and “Error occurred while fetching status logs

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Error

If you remain logged in to ExtendSync but repeatedly get signed out or see this message:

Error occured while fetching status logs

This issue may also appear under the error code CEFI-E1113.

Why This Happens

ExtendSync relies on browser cookies to maintain your authenticated session and retrieve background data such as Autopilot status logs.

If third-party cookies are blocked:

  • ExtendSync cannot persist your session

  • Status logs fail to load

  • The app may automatically sign you out

This is a browser configuration issue, not a problem with your ExtendSync license or NetSuite setup.

Resolution

If cookies are blocked, some ExtendSync features may not function properly. To ensure optimal performance, update your Chrome browser settings to allow cookies.

Microsoft Edge (WebView2)

Most modern Outlook desktop installations use Microsoft Edge WebView2 as the embedded browser. If third-party cookies are blocked in Edge, ExtendSync may fail to maintain session state.

Option 1: Allow Third-Party Cookies (Recommended)

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. Click the three dots (⋮)Settings.

  3. Go to Privacy, search, and services.

  4. Click Cookies and site permissions.

  5. Select Manage and delete cookies and site data.

  6. Turn OFF:

    Block third-party cookies

  7. Restart Edge and reload Outlook.

This provides the most stable ExtendSync experience.

Option 2: Keep Cookies Blocked but Allow ExtendSync

  1. Open Edge → Settings.

  2. Go to Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.

  3. Click See all cookies and site data (or Manage exceptions, depending on Edge version).

  4. Under Allow, click Add.

  5. Enter: https://olns.cloudextend.app

  6. Save the exception.

  7. Restart Edge and reload Outlook.

This allows ExtendSync to function even with stricter cookie policies.

Google Chrome

Option 1: Allow Third-Party Cookies (Recommended)

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Click the three dots (⋮)Settings.

  3. Go to Privacy and security → Third-party cookies.

  4. Select Allow third-party cookies.

  5. Refresh Chrome and reload Outlook.

Option 2: Keep Cookies Blocked but Allow ExtendSync

  1. Open Chrome → Settings.

  2. Go to Privacy and security → Third-party cookies.

  3. Select Block third-party cookies.

  4. Under Sites allowed to use third-party cookies, click Add.

  5. Save the change.

  6. Refresh Chrome and reload Outlook.

✅ Verify the Fix

After updating cookie settings:

  • Open Outlook

  • Launch ExtendSync

  • Confirm:

    • You remain logged in

    • Status logs load correctly

    • The error no longer appears

If ExtendSync stays logged in and status logs load, the issue is resolved.

Additional Notes

  • Cookie settings apply per browser profile.

  • On IT-managed devices, these settings may be locked—contact your IT team if you cannot change them.

  • Clearing cookies later may require re-adding the allowlist entry.
