Troubleshooting: Microsoft Grant needs to be given by your CloudExtend admin for this feature to work

ExtendSync Outlook | Microsoft Grant consent is required for the Email using CloudExtend

Updated this week

When sending an email from NetSuite using the Email using CloudExtend button, you may see this warning message:

Issue

Microsoft Grant needs to be given by your CloudExtend admin for this feature to work.

Why This Happens

This message appears when the Microsoft Graph API consent required for the Send from Outlook feature hasn’t been granted or needs to be regranted by your Microsoft 365 admin.

Without this consent, ExtendSync can’t access your Outlook account to send emails through the Microsoft Graph API.

Resolution

Step 1: Regrant consent for Microsoft Graph

  1. Microsoft admin to login https://subscriptions.cloudextend.io/.

  2. Locate section Accounts > Default Settings.

  3. Hit the Click here if you wish to re-consent to trigger the process.

Step 2: Request users to login to ExtendSync

  1. Users should login to ExtendSync add-in at least once and create NetSuite connection inside the app.

  2. Share this link to Install and login to ExtendSync

Additional Notes

  • The consent process only needs to be completed once per Microsoft 365 tenant (not per user).

  • If users still see the same error after consent is regranted, ask them to reload the ExtendSync add-in or restart Outlook.

  • Verify that users are properly licensed for ExtendSync in the Subscription Portal.
