ExtendSync for Outlook lets you save events in Outlook and attach them to NetSuite records.
β
But what if you want to see NetSuite events inside Outlook β without enabling Calendar Autopilot?
While ExtendSync does not sync events from NetSuite to Outlook unless you have Calendar Autopilot, NetSuite itself provides a free, one-way calendar sharing option using the iCal format.
Another alternative is that NetSuite offers this functionality for free out of the box. This article borrows content from NetSuite. Explore the details in this link.
NetSuite enables users to sync events from NetSuite to Outlook for free using iCal format internet calendars. While this functionality is limited, it may be an option for companies on a small budget looking for a 1-way sync from NetSuite to Outlook.
Sharing Your NetSuite Calendar with iCal-Compatible Devices and Applications
You can share your NetSuite calendar with devices and applications that support iCal format internet calendars, including iPhones, Android devices, and Microsoft Outlook.
This feature lets you:
View (but not edit) your NetSuite calendar in Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or on mobile devices.
Share calendar data publicly via an automatically generated URL β no login required.
π‘ Note: iCal feeds are view-only. Changes made in Outlook or other apps will not sync back to NetSuite.
To set up your NetSuite calendar for sharing:
Step 1: In your NetSuite account, go to Activities > Setup > Calendar Preference.
Step 2: Click the Preferences sub tab.
Step 3: Under Calendar Sharing, check one or both boxes:
Public Calendar β shares only public events.
Private Calendar β shares all calendar events.
β‘οΈ For information on how to make your calendar events public or private by default, see Setting Calendar Preferences.
Step 4: Click Save.
When you check these boxes, URLs are automatically generated. You can distribute these URLs to anyone you want to share your calendars with.
π Resetting URLs:
You can reset URLs anytime to revoke old links. Anyone with the old URL will lose access until you send the new one, you must communicate the new URLs to those youβd like to share your calendar with.
