Outlook NextGen | Switch from the production to the NextGen version of CloudExtend Outlook for NetSuite

Updated yesterday

Prerequisites to using the new version of ExtendSync Outlook for NetSuite are below:

  • Have an active or trial subscription to User, Starter, or Enterprise Edition

    • As of August 6, 2024, the free version is no longer supported.

  • The CloudExtend SuiteApp must be installed by the NetSuite admin

  • Microsoft Grant should be enabled by your Microsoft admin

  • ๐Ÿ’ก If users have different email addresses for NetSuite and Microsoft, the admin must update the email in the CloudExtend subscription portal by replacing the NetSuite email address with the Microsoft 365 email address. Users will then use the "Connections" option in the new app to connect CloudExtend to NetSuite.

More information on the above admin steps can be found below.

How to switch to the NextGen version and back

There are two places you can go to switch to the NextGen version.

Switch to New App

Login to New App button is available at the bottom of the CloudExtend panel. Existing users should log out first.

Switch back to legacy

Select the menu icon and then select "Switch Back" to return to the legacy version.

Once selected, users would be prompted to log in with their Microsoft 365 email address.

๐Ÿ’ก Note: In the NextGen version the user's identity is no longer bound to their NetSuite account and you can log in with your Microsoft 365 email to use the application and then connect to NetSuite (multiple accounts and roles are allowed) using your NetSuite credentials.
