FAQ: Add or Switch NetSuite Connections in ExtendSync Outlook

ExtendSync Outlook | Learn how to add or switch connections

If you have a sandbox and production NetSuite environment or have different roles in NetSuite, you can easily add a connection and switch between roles or NetSuite environments without logging off.

⚠️ Important for Global Autopilot connection owners

  • If your admin has designated you as the Connection Owner for a shared mailbox in Global Autopilot, changing or resetting your NetSuite connection will cause that shared mailbox to stop syncing to NetSuite.

  • Before making connection changes, check with your CloudExtend admin whether you are a connection owner for any shared mailboxes.

Add New Connection

  1. Go to the Menu and select Connection.

  2. Click Add, then enter your NetSuite account ID and click Connect to NetSuite.

  3. Enter your NetSuite credentials. Select the role you want to log in with and hit Allow.

  4. The connection is added. Select Yes. Now, you have a new connection in ExtendSync Outlook.

Switch Between Connections

You can switch between existing connections. On the same path, it allows you to rename or delete connections.

  1. Go to the Menu and select Connection.

  2. Hover over the name of your preferred connection.

  3. Click the three dots.

  4. Click on Set Active.

💡 Note:

  • Once connected, there's no need to sign out.

  • The color of your ExtendSync panel will indicate the environment you're connected to:
🔵 Blue – for Production and Test Drive environments
🟢 Green – for Sandbox environments
