Upgrade to NextGen

Here are the things you need to know before upgrading to the NextGen version of CloudExtend Excel Data Management for NetSuite!

READ ME!

  • No Switching Back: Once you complete the upgrade, you will not have the option to switch to the previous version of CloudExtend.

  • Communicate with Admin: Consult with your CloudExtend admin before you upgrade (some admins have elected for a bulk migration which we handle on the back end). Learn more about it here.

  • Email Address Verification: You will be prompted to login to "CloudExtend" with your Microsoft email address (or Google if you're not Microsoft 365 subscriber). Post logging into CloudExtend you will then be promoted to connect to NetSuite using the email address you normally use to login with NetSuite.

  • Read the Notification: Understand the terms and agree before continuing to upgrade.

What will l see?

If you have not yet upgraded, you will see an option "Upgrade to new app" on your login page informing you that you need to upgrade and the legacy app is deprecated. The templates that you have will be migrated to the NextGen version!

βœ‹ Using Burst Upload?

  • Make sure that ALL burst mode uploads have been COMPLETED and results are DOWNLOADED.

  • If the burst upload has been submitted and not downloaded before you complete the upgrade, then the job will continue to process in the background (in NetSuite) but you won't be able to download/verify the results.


Migration Options

This new upgrade will automatically migrate your existing templates for a seamless transition.

You can upgrade your team in one of two ways:

  • Individual Upgrades (default option): End users can self-migrate in the app. The self-upgrade should only take a few minutes.

  • Bulk Upgrade: Opt for a centralized upgrade by our team. This will migrate all users at once, minimizing the risk of individual errors. Handled with admin within the organization.

    If you prefer this option, please email to request a bulk upgrade cloudextend-success@celigo.com. Please advise users to not attempt Interactive Migration from the app.

Once the upgrade is complete, users will first be prompted to log in to their Microsoft or Google account. This will also log them into CloudExtend. From there they can add connections to multiple NetSuite accounts and roles.

You will have the ability to revert back to the legacy app through March 11, 2024. After that, the legacy app will be deprecated and you will not be able to toggle between old and new versions. All users have until May 3rd, 2024, to upgrade to the new version.

Please be advised that all users must switch to the new app by May 3, 2024. We will automatically upgrade any remaining accounts on May 4, 2024. This upgrade will reference your current NetSuite email during migration. As long as you sign in to the new app with the same email, all of your data and templates will be there.


FAQ

πŸ”΅ Where will I see the templates after migrating?

  • The templates will be saved when you go to Menu >Templates. Check this link to learn more.

πŸ”΅ I got an error when migrating, what should I do?

  • If the Upgrade fails due to any reason, the CloudExtend panel will switch back to the current application. You may reach out to our support by using the help button at the bottom of the screen!

πŸ”΅What would happen to users who have not upgraded after the upgrade period has ended?

  • We will auto upgrade remaining users on May 4, 2024. This upgrade will reference your current NetSuite email during migration. As long as you sign in to the new app with the same email, all of your data and templates will be there.

πŸ”΅I'm using the SmartClient version, is there anything I need to do?

  • The SmartClient application of CloudExtend is discontinued and sunsetted as on March 31, 2024. We advise you to switch to the CloudExtend Excel Data Management NextGen version which has all advanced features like Pricing Matrix Updates and Advanced Bin Management.
