Choose How You Want to Retrieve Records

ExtendInsights offers three ways to pull records from NetSuite. Choose the option that fits your goal.

Saved Search

Use a NetSuite Saved Search to retrieve a predefined set of records.

Best for:

  • Complex filters or formulas

  • Summary or grouped results

  • Reusing an existing NetSuite report

Notes:

  • Managed in NetSuite

  • Requires Saved Search permissions

👉 Tip: For scheduled or repeat reporting, consider ExtendInsights Analytics.

Data Filter (Rules)

Use rule-based filters created directly in ExtendInsights.

Best for:

  • Quick, ad-hoc filtering

  • One-time or flexible data pulls

  • No NetSuite setup required

Notes:

  • Built and saved inside ExtendInsights

  • Filters are reusable across workbooks

Internal ID (Most Precise)

Retrieve exact records only using NetSuite Internal IDs.

Best for:

  • Targeted updates or validations

  • High-confidence, high-performance retrieval

  • When you already know the records you need

How it works:

  • Paste Internal IDs into Column B – Internal ID

  • Click Reload Records

  • Only matching records are retrieved

💡 Recommended for precise updates.
