About this Release
This release delivers two significant new capabilities — the ability to filter reports using standard and custom NetSuite fields, and the ability to download a snapshot of your report as values only — alongside UX improvements, graceful error handling, and a set of bug fixes across reporting, fiscal calendar support, and data accuracy.
⚠️ Important — Troubleshooting Formula Errors After This Update
This release introduces new filter capabilities that may affect existing formula parameters. If your formulas show #N/A, #VALUE!, or similar errors after updating:
Reload the add-in and restart Excel
If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the add-in from the Microsoft Store / Office Add-ins

Enhancements
Filter by Standard and Custom Fields
ExtendInsights Financial Reporting now supports filtering formulas using standard and custom NetSuite fields. When you select the designated Fields cell in a report, the Fields panel opens in the add-in. It dynamically loads the fields available to your connected NetSuite account and user role.
Fields are grouped into Standard Fields and Custom Fields. You can search, select, and configure a filter using a control appropriate for the field type — dropdown, date picker, text box, or checkbox. Once applied, the affected formulas refresh and recalculate the report using your selected field filters. Multiple field filters are evaluated using AND logic; multiple values within a single field are evaluated using OR.
Note: Not all NetSuite fields are supported as filters. Fields that are not queryable via NetSuite's query engine will not appear in the Fields panel, including custom entity fields

Download Snapshot
You can now download a snapshot of your report — the current sheet or the entire workbook — as values only, with no formula references. This makes it easy to share reports with colleagues or stakeholders who do not have an ExtendInsights license, without exposing any formula logic.
To use: click Download Snapshot from the menu. Hover over the option to see a tooltip describing what it does.

Child-Level Dimension Filters
You can now filter reports by child-level dimensions — selecting a parent department, class, or location will include all associated child-level values in the report results, giving you a more complete and accurate view without manually listing each child dimension.

Account Names — Always Up to Date
Account names in pre-built reports are now powered by a live formula across all supported report types — Income Statement, Budget Report, Balance Sheet, Type Balance drilldown, and GL Accounts — ensuring they always reflect the latest values from NetSuite.
Previously, account names were stored as static values and would not update until the cache was cleared.
Graceful Error Handling for XAVI Formulas
Formulas now surface clearer, more descriptive error messages when a formula cannot resolve — for example, when an account number does not exist or when an HTTP error occurs. Instead of a generic error, the formula cell now displays a meaningful message to help you identify and resolve the issue quickly.

Loading and Refresh Status Indicators
The report sheet now shows real-time loading and refresh status indicators, making it easier to know when data is being fetched or updated — and when the report is ready to use.
"Dimension Filters" Label Update
The "Filters" label in the task pane has been updated to "Dimension Filters" to more accurately reflect that these filters apply to NetSuite dimensions — as distinct from the new standard and custom field filters.
Fixed Issues
CTA incorrect values at subsidiary level: CTA was displaying very large, incorrect numbers at the subsidiary level. Fixed.
CTA balance incorrect in Balance Sheet: CTA balance was not calculating correctly within the Balance Sheet. Fixed.
Balance Sheet for custom fiscal calendar: Balance Sheet was not reflecting correctly for accounts with a custom fiscal calendar. Fixed.
Report not refreshing after filter change: Reports were not refreshing properly after a filter was changed. Fixed.
Report not refreshing for custom fiscal calendar: Reports were not refreshing for accounts using a custom fiscal calendar. Fixed.
Account names not updating until cache cleared: FRE was not reflecting updated NetSuite account names until the cache was manually cleared. Fixed.
Unable to update Sandbox connection: Users were unable to update their Sandbox connection in certain scenarios. Fixed.
Drill-down incorrect URL: Drill-down was generating incorrect URLs for certain record types, preventing navigation to the correct NetSuite record. Fixed.
Custom segment GL Impact: Custom segment lookup was returning segments with GL Impact turned off, causing incorrect data to appear in reports. Fixed.
NS accounts list matching: The accounts list was not matching correctly based on the selected year and filter. Fixed.
Cache conflict when multiple add-in versions are installed: Users with access to multiple add-in environments were unable to download reports due to a cache conflict. Fixed.
Version: 1.4 (Aug 2026 Update)

About this Release
This release delivers a set of bug fixes based on customer-reported issues, covering data formatting accuracy, formula logic, and filter behavior
What Has Changed in This Release
Bug Fixes
Account numbers with trailing zeroes not preserved
Date format displaying as numbers in Balance Sheet
Retained Earnings formula picking up incorrect account types
Custom segment filter not resetting on Reset button click
"As of Period" input incorrectly parsing year/month format
Fixed Issues
Account number trailing zeroes: Account numbers with trailing zeroes were being stripped during download, causing mismatches with NetSuite values. Now preserved correctly across reports and drilldown. Fixed
Date format in Balance Sheet: Dates in the Balance Sheet were displaying as raw numbers instead of formatted dates. Now correctly shown in date format. Fixed
Retained Earnings logic: RETAINEDEARNINGS and CTA formulas were including accounts beyond the RetEarnings account type. Logic is now correctly scoped to RetEarnings accounts only. Fixed
Custom segment filter reset: The Reset button was not clearing the selected filter value for custom segments. Now resets to its original state correctly. Fixed
"As of Period" date parsing: Entering a period in YYYY-MM format was always defaulting to a date regardless of the month or year entered. Now correctly loads data for the specified period. Fixed

Enhancements
Custom Segments Support
ExtendInsights Financial Reporting now supports Custom Segments as filters within XAVI formulas. You can now filter report data by custom NetSuite segments (e.g. Brand, Product Line, Region) directly from the add-in.
Prerequisites
Before using Custom Segments in ExtendInsights Financial Reporting, your NetSuite user account must have the appropriate permissions.
NetSuite Administrators
To enable Custom Segments for a user, grant the following permissions to their NetSuite role:
Permission | Purpose |
Custom Segments | Allows the role to access the Custom Segments feature. |
Individual Custom Segment Permissions | Grant access to each specific Custom Segment (for example, Brand, Region, or Product Line) that users need to filter by. |
Read!
Each Custom Segment requires its own permission.
Granting access to the Custom Segments feature alone does not automatically provide access to every custom segment.
Permission > Setup > Custom Segment
Permission > Setup > Individual Custom Segment (Look for custom segment name)
➡️ For Full NetSuite Permission Prerequisites: Admin: Configure NetSuite for ExtendInsights Financial Reporting(XAVI)
Custom Period Support
ExtendInsights now recognizes custom accounting period names configured in NetSuite.
For example, if your organization renamed:
Jan 2025
to
April 25
the same name now appears throughout ExtendInsights reports.
Current limitation
This feature is not yet supported for NetSuite OneWorld accounts with the Multiple Calendars feature enabled (accounts where different subsidiaries operate on different fiscal calendars with custom period names).
Support for this will be included in a future release.
Performance Improvements
Transactions, RE, and CTA Formula Performance
This release completes the performance improvements introduced throughout July.
The following formulas now calculate approximately 50% faster:
Transactions
Retained Earnings (RE)
CTA
Together with the July releases, nearly every major XAVI formula has now been optimized for significantly faster report generation.
Bug Fixes
Setting up Things loading screen: Users with valid licenses were, in some cases, seeing a continuous loading screen on app open. This is now fixed.
New user connection not showing: After a new user connected to NetSuite, the connection was not appearing on the connections page. This is resolved.
Inappropriate error messages for custom roles: Users with custom NetSuite roles missing certain permissions were seeing generic error messages. Errors are now specific and actionable.
Balance Sheet output not fully matching NetSuite: Certain balance sheet calculations were producing results that did not fully match the NetSuite output. This has been corrected.
Session Expired message: The session expiry message was not appearing correctly in some cases. This is now handled properly.
