FAQ: Undeploy Send from Outlook Feature

ExtendSync Outlook | See how to hide the Email using CloudExtend button on a NetSuite record

Updated over a week ago

If you're not yet ready to use the Send from Outlook feature and want to hide the "Email using CloudExtend" button, follow the steps below:

Step 1: In NetSuite, go to: Customization > Scripting > Scripts

Step 2: In the filters select type User Event and API Version 2.1.

Step 3: Find the script named CloudExtend MailApps - Send From Outlook.

Step 4: Click on the View link next to the script name then go to the Deployments subtab. Here you'll see all the active deployments to the record types associated with this script.

Step 5: Select the record you want to undeploy. This opens the Script Deployment record. Uncheck the checkbox labeled Deployed.

Step 6: Click Save to confirm your changes.

The script will now be undeployed and won't trigger on the associated record types.

πŸ’‘ Notes:
You can repeat this for all deployments under the script if needed.
This change is reversible β€” just recheck Deployed to reactivate the script later.

Troubleshooting the "Email Using CloudExtend" Button Not Working

If the 'Email Using CloudExtend' button is unresponsive or fails even after granting Microsoft Graph consent, you may need to take the following steps:

  1. Re-grant Tenant-Level Consent: Ensure tenant-level consent for the "Send from Outlook" feature is re-granted within the Microsoft environment.

  2. Verify that all prerequisites for sending emails from Outlook within NetSuite are configured correctly.

  3. Test the button functionality again after completing the above steps on a NetSuite record.

By following these steps, you can address the majority of configuration-related issues and maintain a seamless integration between CloudExtend and NetSuite.
