FAQ: Undeploy Send from Outlook Feature

ExtendSync Outlook | See how to hide the Email using CloudExtend button on a NetSuite record

Updated this week

If your organization isn’t ready to use the Send from Outlook feature, you can temporarily hide the “Email using CloudExtend” button in NetSuite by undeploying its associated script.

This process can be reversed anytime by redeploying the script later.

How to Undeploy the Send from Outlook Script

Step 1: In NetSuite, go to: Customization > Scripting > Scripts

Step 2: In the filters select type User Event and API Version 2.1.

Step 3: Find the script named CloudExtend MailApps - Send From Outlook.

Step 4: Click on the View link next to the script name then go to the Deployments subtab. Here you'll see all the active deployments to the record types associated with this script.

Step 5: Select the record you want to undeploy. This opens the Script Deployment record. Uncheck the checkbox labeled Deployed.

Step 6: Click Save to confirm your changes.

The script will now be undeployed and won't trigger on the associated record types.

💡 Notes:

  • Repeat the same process for any other record types where you want to disable the feature.

  • To reactivate the button later, simply recheck Deployed and click Save.

  • No need to delete the script — it remains available for future use.

Troubleshooting the "Email Using CloudExtend" Button Not Working

If the 'Email Using CloudExtend' button is unresponsive or fails even after granting Microsoft Graph consent, you may need to take the following steps:

1. Regrant Tenant-Level Microsoft Consent

Ensure tenant-level consent for the "Send from Outlook" feature is re-granted within the Microsoft environment.

Admins can regrant consent by visiting subscriptions.cloudextend.ioAccounts → Default Settings → Click “Re-consent.”

2. Verify Feature Prerequisites

Double-check that all Send from Outlook prerequisites have been completed, including:

  • Required Microsoft Graph permissions

  • User login and NetSuite connection

  • Valid license assignments

3. Test Button Functionality

After updating the configuration, test the Email using CloudExtend button on any supported NetSuite record.

If the issue persists, reach out to CloudExtend Support with screenshots and details of the user role.
