This article applies only to Calendar Autopilot, the supported calendar sync solution for ExtendSync Google.
If you notice that some NetSuite events synced from Google Calendar show the Organizer field as -System-, this is expected behavior in specific scenarios.
This article explains why it happens and when you’ll see a different value.
Why This Happens
NetSuite has a platform limitation:
This is because NetSuite does not let us override the value of this field to someone other than the event creator when importing events on a scheduled basis.
This ensures the event is owned by the right user for reporting and visibility, even though the Organizer shows as -System-.
What ExtendSync Can Set
Owner → Set correctly to the appropriate NetSuite user
Organizer → Cannot be overridden during scheduled imports
What Happens with On-Demand Imports?
If you run the ExtendSync Google Calendar Import on-demand:
Organizer will be set to your NetSuite login name
You will be invited to the event as the organizer
This is because on-demand imports run in the context of your user session, not as a background system process.
