There are several end-user level customizations that we recommend before you start using the app:
✅ Change the Message Tab View in NetSuite
NetSuite requires that an email address be associated with an entity. In some cases, end-users will attach an email to a NetSuite record where the sender or recipient is not related to the record. In order to properly display the sender/recipient, we suggest that you modify the messages view in NetSuite to show email addresses as opposed to entities.

✅ Pin CloudExtend Task Pane
Keep CloudExtend on the screen at all times so you do not need to click the Celigo button each time you move to another email.
✅ Find Records Faster
Decide what records you want pulled back in the auto search. This allows you to see results with one click. Records not included can still be manually searched.
💡 Note: If you are on a Group Edition, the CloudExtend panel will be slightly different. |
✅ Create Outlook Categories
CloudExtend will attempt to automatically create and apply categories for you. Depending on your Outlook and Exchange versions you may need to create them manually.

✅ Customize your forms so you can create, edit and view your NetSuite records quicker in Outlook
With CloudExtend, you can work in Outlook just as if you were in NetSuite. This includes the ability to add whatever standard and custom fields you work with in NetSuite on your forms in CloudExtend. For each record type that you want to customize, add all your fields in once and then you can edit and create records in Outlook just like you were in NetSuite!

And just like that, a new contact was created in NetSuite with all the fields I need! You configure the fields for each record type (IE Opportunity, customer etc.)
